The school director is responsible for the overall function of American Heritage of South Jordan. She coordinates course schedules, classroom assignments, the annual calendar, and school activities. The director oversees the school’s
accreditation status, non-profit status, international student enrollment, and the Carson Smith scholarship program. She facilitates student travel opportunities, class field trips, and various learning/social experiences. The director also works with all upper-grade students to register for ACT, SAT, and Toefl exams. She advises students on college admission requirements, assists with college applications, and tracks student progress through the college acceptance process. She works with students to locate scholarships and complete the necessary requirements for those scholarships.
The school principal works directly with the students and teachers. His major responsibilities include ensuring that the code of conduct is enforced; that teachers are working positively with students, that learning is occurring in the classroom, and that teacher’s needs are being met.
He also oversees the building maintenance. As principal, he meets with parents of prospective students as well as parents of current students.
The curriculum director oversees all texts and materials used for educational purposes within the school, including classroom and library materials. She sees that teachers are consistent in what they’re teaching; that they cover the material necessary each year; and that subjects are not being skipped. As a member of the administration, the curriculum director assists with code of conduct violations, uniform violations, and discipline issues.
The finance director is responsible for school money transactions. She creates the annual budget, prepares financial projections, and documents changes throughout the year. She oversees all family tuition and fee accounts, manages the school bank accounts, balances the monthly statements, and handles the credit accounts. She also prepares all staff payroll documents, paychecks, tax paperwork necessary for the CPA. As a member of the board, she presents all financial statements and budget annually.
The office manager maintains all student records, coordinates the incoming and outgoing record requests, oversees immunization records, and handles the online student database. She assists parents with tuition and fee payments, handles deposits, and manages office funds. She is responsible for answering phones, setting appointments, greeting parents, students, or guests, and making sure the office runs smoothly. She also assists the administration with special assignments such as maintaining the honor wall, shadow boxes, and other items as needed.

The athletic director works to build the character of each individual athlete at American Heritage of South Jordan. He provides experiences that will teach them life skills and prepares them for a successful future. The athletic director is responsible for coordinating all sports with the middle and upper school leagues. He holds tryouts, practices, for each sport, and prepares each team member to work together for the good of the team. The athletic director also arranges all athletic uniforms, equipment, referees, schedules, and oversees additional coaches and assistants.
