The academic program at American Heritage is designed to be rigorous, yet attainable for the student willing to do his best. Science, math, and classic-ed courses (a combined language arts/history class) stress concept-building in a methodical, logical manner. Whether chronologically or conceptually structured, students are able to retain knowledge better because information is presented more efficiently.

Teachers at American Heritage are encouraged to stress areas of learning that are enjoyable and meaningful to them within a structured “umbrella” or overall conceptual plan. They have a logical amount of autonomy to flex lessons and emphases according to individual classes and even particular students. This flexibility allows them to challenge students where needed and redirect/restructure information where necessary.
